Sandra Brown

August 22, 1944 — April 27, 2022

Sandra Kay Brown, 77, of Mission Township, died Wednesday, April 27, peacefully at home.

She was born on August 22, 1944, to Jessie and John Young in Brainerd.

Sandra grew up on Young Lake in Mission and graduated from Crosby High School. She married Jerome Brown in 1963 and they raised two daughters, Naomi and Brenda.

They lived in Coon Rapids, Minn., and then Bozeman, Mont., but “home” was always Young Lake, where they built a cabin and where the family enjoyed the woods, wildlife and water, and the best of times together. Sandra and Jerome made the property their permanent home after retiring.

Sandra enjoyed secretarial work after her children were grown, but her passion was always homemaking as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an excellent cook and baker, and she was exceptional at bowling, but her fun-loving spirit truly shined when she danced the polka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers John (Jack) Young Jr. and James (Jim) Young.

Left to honor her memory are her beloved husband Jerome; daughter and son-in-law Naomi and Daryl Horner; daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Jon Charpentier; grandsons Brannon Juedeman, Ryder Juedeman, Samuel Charpentier and Benjamin Charpentier; sister Mary Panno; brother Robert Young and many nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours; her family will honor her life privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
