Mildred Liedstrand

December 8, 1925 — June 17, 2020

Mildred Francine Liedstrand left this world on June 17, 2020 and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully in her daughter, Melody’s lake home near Aitkin, Minnesota. She was 94 years old.

Millie was born on December 8, 1925 to Tom and Hilda Miller in Portland, Oregon. She attended Lewis & Clark College and the Art Institute of Chicago. Millie met her husband, Roy Liedstrand, at Hinson Memorial Church in Portland, Oregon. They were married June 21, 1947 in Portland, Oregon, and then settled in Oakland California. In 1956, Roy and Millie moved to Walnut Creek, California, where they played a key part in establishing Fair Oaks Baptist Church. They were actively involved in leading the youth ministries. Throughout her life, she encouraged others to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In 1986, Roy and Millie moved from Walnut Creek to Lake Wildwood. For the past 30 years she attended Calvary Bible Church in Grass Valley where she dearly loved her Sunday School class and women’s neighborhood Bible Study group. Her husband, Roy, passed away in 2011.

Millie was known for her generous hospitality, positive spirit, and her love for the Lord. Countless people experienced the warmth of her love, being in her home. No one who knew Millie can remember her expressing an unkind word or thought. Everything she did was motivated by her love for Jesus and others. She had a spiritual impact on many lives.

She is survived by her four children, Dennis, Melody, Loni, and Tim and their spouses; 13 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren, with 2 on the way.

We thank our relatives, friends and neighbors for their help and love through the years.
