Herbert Richmond

Herbert E. Richmond, 78, Pillager, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.  A Celebration of Herb’s Life will be held on May 30th at 11 AM at the Richmond Family Residence, 10982 Richmond Road, north of Pillager, with Pastor Jim Johnson officiating.

Herb was born on December 15, 1941 at Pillager, son of Burt and Ruth (Van Vickle) Richmond.  He was united in marriage with Jo Ann McGillivary on January 25, 1964 at Pillager.  He worked for many years doing bumper work for North Star Plating.  His hobbies included playing music, fishing, golf, working at the sawmill, and spending time with family and friends.

Herb is survived by his loving wife of 56 years: Jo Ann; daughters: Renee (Larry) House of Pillager and Rowann (Rick) Pepper of Mankato; grandchildren: Christian House, Amanda (Keith) Roush, Devrin (Alexis) House, Jacob (Meghann) Pepper, Benjamin Pepper, Andrew Pepper, Abigail Pepper, Anna Pepper, and Joel Pepper; great-grandchild: Elias Pepper; his mother: Ruth Richmond of Pillager; brothers & sisters: Daryl (Carol) Richmond, Vivian (Butch) Rosekrans, Walt (Cheryl) Richmond, Kenny Richmond, Gloria Rosekrans, and Ed (Sandy) Richmond; many nieces and nephews.  Herb was preceded in death by his father: Burt; sisters: Anice Richmond and Arlyss Marshall; and brother: Wes Richmond.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel of Baxter.  www.brenny.com
