Eleanor Pilon

Eleanor “Lenore” Pilon, 86, Baxter, went to be with the Lord on July 14, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 12:00pm at St Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery in Oakwood, North Dakota.

Eleanor Pilon was born to Albert and Ethel (Poole) Lessard on March 29, 1934. She was born in Grafton, North Dakota and graduated from Saint Aloysius Academy in Oakwood, North Dakota. She married the love of her life Francis “Frank” Pilon on July 11, 1953 in Oakwood, ND. She was a daycare provider for over 30 years and cared for so many children throughout that time. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She also avoided the cold Minnesota winters by traveling to Florida, and enjoyed pontoon rides on the lake. However, Eleanor was most happy when spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Pilon, of 67 years; children Dwight (Catherine) Pilon, Geralyn (Jim) Spratt, Cynthia (Daryl) Lizakowski, Lisa (Brett) Twardy; 7 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; and her sister Alice Grzadzieleski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her infant son Craig.
