Edward Fleming

November 23, 1933 — October 4, 2020

Edward Delano Fleming, 86, died Oct. 4 at his daughter’s home in Baxter, MN knowing how much he was loved and appreciated.

Born November 23, 1933 on the family’s cotton farm in Monticello, Arkansas he was the youngest of the five Fleming boys. He follows his parents Lois Rash Fleming and Robert Wilson Fleming,  brothers Harold, Gerald and Fred and steadfast friend, Wesley Kettelkamp. Survived by brother Frank, former wife Jean, children Carrie, Lynn (Mike Pederson), Susan and Rhett (Amy). Much loved by his grandchildren Jane, Ellie, Charlie, Christian and Katherine.

An Army vet and proud Boll Weevil graduate of the University of Arkansas-Monticello, Ed was an early employee of Medtronic’s fledgling computer department and so grateful for the opportunity to travel and see the world on an expense account.

He loved spending time with family and friends at his cabin on Bay Lake. After retirement he built a home on the family farm and reunited with his Arkansas kin. He enjoyed several winters in Florida but always returned to his beloved little, red cabin at Bay Lake and his lake family there.

He will rest at Bay Lake Cemetery. No service but family will continue to celebrate his life. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or Bay Lake Improvement Association.
