Dorothy Schmidt

Dorothy Kathryn Schmidt (Horsch) of Mora, MN passed away April 29th at the residence of her son.  She was 82 years old.

Dorothy was born on October 18, 1937 in Minneapolis, MN to Erwin Edwin Horsch and Kathryn Amelia (Kallenbach) Horsch.

In 1956, Dorothy married G.L. Garrett and had two children; William and Doris. The couple eventually divorced. Dorothy later met and eventually married George J Schmidt on Mother's Day 1981. Together they had four children: Ann, George Jr., Mark, and Clark. They also divorced.

During her lifetime, Dorothy worked in various fields with a short stint in the Air Force as a Radar Technician.

Her interests and hobbies included music, sewing, drawing, reading, writing short stories and poems, raising animals and photography.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her only sister Lois. She is survived by her 6 children as well as grandchildren and great grand children.

In holding to her wishes no public service is being held. A small grave side service for family will be held at a late date.
