Courtney Bussmann

Courtney L. Bussmann, 30, of Crosby, MN died Monday, May 6, 2019 in Nisswa.  A Celebration of Courtney’s life will take place at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.

Courtney was born January 20, 1989 in Crosby, MN to John Lovejoy and Laurie Hamilton.  She grew up in the Crosby Ironton area.  Courtney married Chad Bussmann on December 5, 2015; the couple later divorced.  She will be remembered as being feisty when she wanted to be, a bright ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, and held a very special place in her heart for stray animals; particularly cats.  Courtney was energetic, caring, giving, and loved her children unconditionally.

Courtney is survived by her mother, Laurie Hamilton of Brainerd; children, Matthew Miller, Gabriel Chapman, Auna Paulson, Mckenzie Bussmann; siblings, Michael Strate, Sean Strate, Elizabeth Merrell, Kayla Lovejoy, Brandon Hesse, Derek Lovejoy, Jake Lovejoy, Samantha Lundgren, Sonja Lovejoy, Jaclyn Taylor, Carolyn Benson, Damien Benson; ex-husband, Chad Bussmann of Grey Eagle; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father.
