Christine Leininger

Christine Leininger, 82, passed away June 2, 2019, surrounded by family, at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center. Services will be 11:00AM, Monday June 10, 2019, at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Christine was born in Kentucky on December 16, 1936, to David and Maggie (Collins) Banks. The family moved to the lakes area where Christine graduated from Brainerd Senior High. She met and married her husband George Irving Badeaux. He passed away in 1968. She then met and married Calvin Carl Leininger in 1970. Christine loved card games such as bridge and poker, as well as birdwatching, and she enjoyed teaching Sunday School for many years.

Christine is survived by her children; George (Kathy) Badeaux of Pillager, John Badeaux of Brainerd, Christopher Badeaux of Mankato, Susan (Dana) Hamilton of West Des Moine; her siblings Paulette Knutson, and Woodrow Banks; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband George Irving Badeaux, and husband Calvin Leininger; and 11 brothers and sisters.
