Obituary

Charlene Louise Tellock (“Char”), 77, of Breezy Point formerly of Wayzata passed away peacefully at Senior Class Community in Pequot Lakes, Minnesota on Monday, August 24, 2020.

She was born to Henry and Elaine (Rakow) DeChaine on May 29, 1943 in Brainerd, MN. She was one of seven children and a 1961 graduate of Washington High School in Brainerd.  Char was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart Leonard (“Lenny”) Tellock on August 12, 1961. She enjoyed a long career in the hospitality industry, working and managing restaurants for more than 30 years between the Twin Cities and Breezy Point. Char was a loving wife, mom, and grandma, and a selfless, caring and kind friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cherished the family reunions in Pierz, Minnesota, and spending time in Florida with her daughter and family. She always had a smile on her face and would light up every room she walked into.

She is survived by Lenny, her devoted husband of 59 years; loving daughter Tamera Anderson (Jeffrey) and their daughter Kendalle; son Randy – Dana and their children Travis and Anna; brothers Terry (Patricia), Gerald, and Daniel (Darlene) DeChaine; sister Gayle (Dave);  Borg and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Sharon DeChaine and Marilyn Ramacher.

Char fought a brave battle with Alzheimer’s Disease, and she is now at peace. We love you Char. Your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

Her husband and daughter would like to thank the staff of Senior Class Community and St. Croix Hospice (“Team Char”) for their kind and compassionate care.

A life well lived. In memory of a beautiful person, a celebration of Char’s life with interment at Pelican Woods Cemetery, Breezy Point, will be held at a future date out of respect for safety during these unsettling times.
