Bob Kastanek

Bob Kastanek of Browerville went to heaven to rejoice with family and friends on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home unexpectedly.

Bob was born on October 16, 1931 in Motley, MN to Edward and Anna (Tichy) Kastanek. He grew up on a farm outside Motley. Bob married Irene Hosner on August 28, 1954. He worked in the creamery and the ink plant until he retired in 1988. Bob loved mechanic work, hunting, fishing and camping. Spending time with his family was the most important of all.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Irene, children Shirley (Pat) Stancek of Lake Elmo, Marvin (Shelly) Kastanek of Staples, Debbie Kastanek of Hibbing, brother Arnie (Ramona) Kastanek of Fridley, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Anna, siblings, Blanche, Rudy, and George.
