William Schweigert

In loving memory of William "Bill" H. Schweigert. Bill passed away on August 9, 2017, after losing his battle with cancer. He was born January 26, 1951, in Long Prairie, MN. He was the youngest son of William "Bill" and Helen Schweigert, who farmed in Long Prairie for many years and retired to a lake home in Sauk Centre, MN.

Bill graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1968. He married Connie (Nereson) Schweigert on June 29, 1985. Bill was blessed with two daughters, Carie Schweigert and Toni Schweigert from a previous marriage. Bill's life was wrapped around his wife, Connie, and he enjoyed his 2 daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bill loved playing in his band, singing and playing bass guitar, hunting, fishing, golfing, hiking and traveling. He was very organized and loved working in his yards, always making them so beautiful. He had so many jobs, but the most rewarding to him was being sole proprietor for his residential remodeling and commercial soundproofing business.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill"; his mother, Helen; Connie's parents, Lynn Nereson, Sr. and Irene (Partlo) Nereson; and her brother, Lynn Nereson, Jr.

Bill is survived by Connie, his wife; 2 daughters, Toni Schweigert (Steve), Carie Schweigert (Dean); 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roger Schweigert (Mary), Darrell Schweigert (Gloria Schneider); 2 sisters, Char Dalbec (Barrie), Diana Lux (Tom); many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and great nieces and nephews.

There will be a private ceremony held at their home in Breezy Point, MN.
