William Griffis

William C. Griffis, age 73, of Breezy Point, passed away on August 1, 2010. He was born in Minneapolis on January 6, 1937, to William and Elsie (Johnson) Griffis. William graduated from Lake Crystal High School and Minnesota State University, Mankato. He began his teaching career in Springfield, MN, after serving in the U.S. Army. William married Mary Kelley in 1966.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children: Elizabeth (John Nicholson), Martha (Paul Coffland), Rachel (William Ramey), and Jonathan; grandchildren: Anna, Ellie, James, Jake, Alanna, Aliza and William.
Services will be 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 14, at the First Baptist Church, Lake Crystal.
