Wilbur was born on December 23, 1922 in Pequot Lakes, MN to August and Louise (Knupple) Lueck. He lived in the Deerwood area his entire life. Wilbur was a veteran of World War II. He met and married Lois Ann Grulke on November 14, 1948 in Aitkin, MN. Wilbur worked as an iron minor and a heavy equipment operator. He also worked for Scorpian Company of Crosby, MN and Northern Timber of Aitkin, MN. He was active in "Laborers for Christ Organization".
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Lois; children, Lee (George) Fredrickson of South Haven, MN, Debbie (George) Cermak of Little Falls, MN, Kathy (Charlie) Keogh of Colorado, and Daniel (Lucy) Lueck of Deerwood, MN; sisters, Mavis (Jim) Hulshizer and Marlene Hennick; and many grandchildren and great-granchildren. Wilbur was preceded in death by his parents, August and Louise; and two brothers, Virgil and Leslie.
Memorials are preferred to "Laborers for Christ" or "Lutheran Island Camp".
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
