Wendy Reed

September 10, 1958 — February 28, 2026

Remer

Wendy Lou Reed passed away peacefully in her home in rural Remer, MN, surrounded by her family on February 28, 2026.

Born on September 10, 1958, in Moose Lake, MN, Wendy went on to graduate from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor’s Degree. On May 27, 1977, she married the love of her life, Gene, with whom she shared nearly 49 years of marriage and raised four children. Wendy was a dedicated professional, serving as an inventory control manager for Mann Lake LTD in Hackensack, MN, for nearly 20 years before her retirement in 2018.

Wendy found her greatest joy in her faith in the Lord Jesus and her loved ones, deeply cherishing the time she spent with family, friends, and her church family. An avid lover of the outdoors, she could often be found fishing, camping, or capturing the beauty of a sunset or flowers through her camera lens. Whether she was playing her flute, lost in a good book, or traveling with her husband to explore new museums, zoos and parks, Wendy’s strong faith in God was the cornerstone of her life, she enjoyed the many hours she spent studying the word of God and sharing the gospel.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Reed; her children, Justin, Benjamin (Megan), Tiffany (Troy) Kuchenmeister, and Heather (Tim) Watson; and a legacy of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Lucille Waisanen, Brothers Ken, John, Norman, Dick Hill and Jim Waisanen.
