Wayne Engstrom

Wayne Boyd Engstrom, 87, of Brainerd, Passed away on June 6, 2025. In honor of his wishes, there will not be any services.

Wayne was born on November 7, 1937, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to John and Alice (Strand) Engstrom.

Wayne was a well-known humanitarian and a dedicated volunteer in the Brainerd Lakes area. He devoted countless hours to Meals on Wheels, local senior care centers, Lutheran Social Service (LSS), and Pequot Lakes Community Services, always ready to lend a hand to those in need. His commitment to helping others left a lasting impact on the community he loved.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his tireless dedication to serving others, and his unwavering compassion. Wayne’s legacy of service and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is survived by his best friend, and grandson Anthony LaPointe; son, Jeffery Engstrom; two grandsons, Johnathan and Daniel Engstrom; many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Karen LaPointe.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
