Wally Joenks

Wally Joenks, age 61, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012. He was born to Roy and Jean Joenks on November 29, 1951, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Wally was a member of Barclay Township Board. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors, and especially loved hunting, fishing and driving off-road vehicles.

Wally is survived by his sisters: Trissie Simmons (David), Sharon Stene, Odessa Joenks; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; and many dear friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis; and brother-in-law, Alan Stene.

Services will be 11 AM on Friday, October 12, at First Lutheran Church, Pine River, with Pastor Bonnie Lomen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
