Vicki Rene Jurek, age 72, of Fifty Lakes, Minnesota, formerly of St. Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2026, surrounded by her devoted husband of 51 years and her children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A small gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.
Vicki was born on February 26, 1953, in Ortonville, Minnesota, to the late Earl and Bonnie Breckenridge.
Vicki was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend, known for her warmth, creativity, and quiet determination. She possessed an extraordinarily artistic mind and excelled at whatever craft captured her attention. A voracious knitter, she was rarely without needles in hand. Her talents extended to quilting, spinning, weaving, and glass jewelry-making, among many other pursuits. Her weaving was featured at the Paramount Center for the Arts in St. Cloud, a testament to her skill and passion.
Above all, Vicki cherished time spent with her husband and children. She especially loved trips with David to Lake Superior, bluegrass festivals, cooking together, visiting knitting shops—and, most of all, beating David in their daily card games.
Vicki is survived by her husband, David; her children, Jason (Becky) of Grasston and Breann of Coon Rapids; her brother, Brad (Nance) and family of Colorado; and her sister, Jenifer (Jim) Drill and family of Burtrum.
