Verona M. Skare

Verona M. (Sather) Skare, formerly of Burnsville, MN passed away on July 4, 2023, at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Baxter, MN.

Verona was born August 27, 1933, in Benson, MN to Mervin and Polly (Antolick)Sather. She grew up on the family farm and attended Benson High School where she met the love of her life, Ted Skare Jr. They married in February of 1952 and together had 3 children. They were one month shy of their 69^th Wedding Anniversary when her beloved Ted passed away.  She is now with him in heaven and for that we are grateful.

Our loving mother is survived by her children, Tim (Sue) Skare, Breezy Pt, MN, Jay (Penny) Skare, New Prague, MN and Robin (Kurt) Hopp, Baxter, MN.  7 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, her sister Margie Commerford of Buffalo, MN, Brother in laws Terry (Carol) Skare, Roger Skare, Burton Iversen and  Sister in law Carol (Carlyle) Boettcher along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Verona joins Ted, her parents Mervin and Polly, her sisters Marion, Doris and Dianne in heaven and we believe there is some dancing going on.

Arrangements were provided by Brenny Funeral Home in Baxter, MN.  A service for Verona will be held at the White Funeral Home in Burnsville, MN on Sunday  Sept 10, 2023 at 2:00pm.
