Verl James Tilbury, age 83, of Backus, MN, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016, at his home. He was born to Verl and Agatha Tilbury on January 9, 1933, in Backus. Verl was a self-employed logger in the Grand Marais area and a commercial fisherman in Alaska. He was a loving husband, father and friend to many.
Verl is survived by his wife and three children.
