Velma I. Ford

Velma Ilene Ford, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2022 at Bethany Good Samaritan Hospice in Brainerd, MN. A memorial service for Velma will be held on Wednesday September 14, 2022 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. There will be a visitation beginning at 1:00pm, and the service will begin at 2:00pm.  

Velma was born on March 24, 1933 to James and Lucy (Thompson) Ford in Longville (Kego Twp), MN. After attending school, she chose to remain close to her family and siblings.

Velma loved her collection of doll figurines. She loved horses and animals, and was very proud of her collection of horse figurines.

Velma is survived by her siblings Wilma (Elmer) Salmon of Hayfield, MN, and Sandy (Arnold) Goodfellow of Olivia, MN, Linda (Bill) Ford, and many special neighbors and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Phoebe Thompson, Vera Ford, Helen Tindell, Connie Ford, and Shelby Ford, brothers Leslie Ford, Bernard Ford, Bill Ford, and Larry Ford.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
