Thomas "Tom" Boettcher

Thomas “Tom” Robert Boettcher, born May 16, 1951, in St. Paul, MN, passed away on February 11, 2024, at his home in Pine River, MN. 

Tom was an avid fisherman and spent many hours doing what he loved on Upper Whitefish Lake, Lake Superior, and up in Canada. He enjoyed watching and feeding wildlife, especially the birds. Tom retired from MnDOT after decades of working as a heavy equipment mechanic.

Tom is survived by his wife, Helena Boettcher; daughter, Wendy Luthi; step-daughter, Jeanne Stauffer; and brother, Michael (Sue) Boettcher. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Bernice Boettcher.

A private service will be held at a later date.
