Terrance (Butch) George Lundeby

Terrance (Butch) George Lundeby, age 79, of Onamia, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, following an accident.

Terry, the son of Thorbjorn (Fred) and Ura Lundeby, was born on July 13, 1946, in Devils Lake, North Dakota. He grew up on a small farm near Tolna, ND, alongside his four siblings: Ronald, Diann, Rodney, and David. Although farm life in the 1940s was challenging, the childhood stories brought much laughter to all of the siblings throughout the years. The family moved to White Bear Lake, Minnesota, in 1958.

Terry married Judith Everett in 1965, and their son Brian was born in 1973. Terry served in the Army Airborne Artillery, 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. After returning from the war, he lived in and worked hard as a business owner in the Twin Cities for many years.

Terry married Karen Petrin in 2000 in Onamia, Minnesota, where he continued to live. They cherished their home and community around Mille Lacs Lake. Terry was a very giving and caring man, always willing to help those around him. He enjoyed spending time on his tractor, meticulously cultivating the garden and yard, as well as feeding the birds and other animals that visited the homestead. During the winter months, he and Karen traveled to their home in Los Fresnos, Texas, to enjoy the mild weather while spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his son Brian (Jessica) Lundeby and two grandchildren, Kadence and Jameson of Texas; his four siblings: Ronald Lundeby (WA), Diann Wilson (MN), Rodney Lundeby (CO), and David Lundeby (NV); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his beloved dog, Tuck.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Lundeby, and his parents, Fred and Ura Lundeby.

A burial and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
