Terry Ann Anderson 1958-2024

Terry Ann Anderson went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her children and husband on February 10th in Brainerd, MN.

A celebration of life will be held for Terry on Friday, February 23rd at 3:00 pm at Heritage Church (13242 Berrywood Dr) in Baxter, MN with her son-in-law Pastor Matt Lewandowski officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Following the service will be a refreshment and dessert fellowship in honor of Terry’s love for sweets and snacks!

Terry is preceded in death by her father “Richie”, mother “Del”, and sister Susan. She is survived by her beloved high school sweetheart of 46 years Mark Anderson; children Tracy (Jason) Klatt of Clear Lake, MN, Michael (Jill) Anderson of Mankato, MN, Jennifer (Ryan) Edberg of Columbia, TN, Melissa (Preston) Nelson of Virginia, MN and Amanda (Matt) Lewandowski of Mayville, WI; her brother Michael (Joan) of Longville, MN; and 18 grandchildren: Nicole, Kaylee, Benjamin, Madison, Hannah, Taylor, Austin, Alexa, Isaiah, Aubrey, Rylee, Payton, Kylie, Levi, Hunter, Micheal, Gavin and Jonathan, whom she loved immensely.

Terry was born March 22nd, 1958, to Richard and Deloris (Ostrowski) Ebinger in Minneapolis, MN. As a young girl Terry would spend her summers at her Grandpa Andy’s and Grandma May’s house in Rice, MN. Those summers would be filled with long days playing outside, riding her bike everywhere, being a side kick on her Auntie Sheila and Uncle Bobs dates, and being doted on by Uncle Bob. Terry also loved spending quality time with her dad. He would take her to their cabin on Gull River, and often have her tag along when he went to work. She went to school in Osseo, MN where she graduated in 1976. In jr. high Mark had his eye on Terry and was determined to catch her eye in return. Mark sealed the deal at ‘The Lords Barn’ where they had their first kiss at 15 years old! They got married on January 14, 1978. Terry was Mark’s better half, best friend, and the true love of his life. The past few years they’ve enjoyed long chats on their front porch, traveling to Montana and South Dakota, four wheeling, spending time at her brother Mike’s and sister-in-law Joan’s house up north and spending as much as time as possible with their grandbabies.

Terry loved her 18 grandkids more than anything in this world and always made sure they knew they were incredibly loved and important. She loved giving four-wheeler rides, playing Monopoly or Jenga, going to the County Fair and Paul Bunyan, buying all the yummy snacks, cuddling on the couch to watch movies, driving the girls to Target, and so much more with her grandkids. Grandma Terry was one of a kind.

To know Terry was to be loved by Terry. One of her greatest qualities was to love and take care of people. If you needed a helping hand, a listening ear, an encouraging word, or someone to love you fiercely you didn’t need to look beyond the Anderson home. Whether you were one of her many foster kids, a friend of one of her kids, or a family member going through a rough time she had you covered.

Above all Terry had a love for God that was genuine and strong. Back in November she asked her son-in-law to baptize her. When the baptism was over, she said, “I did this so that everyone will know what’s real. What’s really real because it’s important for me to have my family with me forever.” On her last day here on earth when she knew what was to come, she praised God, saying “Praise Him! Praise Him!” She dreamed of hugging Jesus one day. Her day has come.

Breathe easy, momma.
