Sylvia Schultz

Sylvia Schultz, 73, of Brainerd, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Essentia Health - St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4-7 PM, Saturday, September 10 at First Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Kristin Oltmann officiating.

Sylvia was born October 18, 1937 in Little Falls, MN, the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Priglmeier) Rieke. After high school, Sylvia was married to George Schultz, Jr. on May 29, 1954. Although she did work outside the home, her primary focus was raising her family and helping tend to the family farm.

Sylvia will be missed by her husband, George, Jr.; children, Stuart Schultz, of Brainerd, Georgena Banker, of Texas, Kalvin (Leanne) Schultz, of Brainerd, Kevin (DeVona) Schultz, of Brainerd, Wendy (Jeff) Klein, of Brainerd, and Marc Schultz, of Texas; brothers, Norman Rieke, of Oregon and LeRoy (Marion) Rieke, of Hillman; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Anne; two infant brothers; brother, Walter; and sisters, Viola, Rita and Rosemarie.
