Stanley Gordon

Stanley Gordon, 72, left the earth for his heavenly reward on February 20, 2024. He was at home with loved ones at his bedside. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday February 24, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service. There will also be a visitation held on Friday February 23, 2024, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Washburn-McGreavy Funeral Home at 2300 W. Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN 55431.

Stan was a long-time EMT/paramedic, supervisor, and EMS Ed instructor with North Ambulance-Brainerd Division, and EMS educator and ACLS instructor for North Ambulance Metro Area. He was the owner of Pequot Lakes Ambulance back in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. 

Survived by lifetime partner of 37 years Pauline Bury, sister-in-law Pat Gordon, nephew Jason Gordon, and niece Rhonda Kottschade.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Eileen Gordon and brother Cornell.

Stan had a love of family. He enjoyed time at the lake on Pelican fishing, specifically the Northern Inc’s tournaments, being outdoors, and had a love of animals and movies. 

Stan had a tender heart and helped and provided care to many people during his lifetime. Never criticizing, humble of heart, generous, and patient. Nothing ever ruffled his feathers, despite seeing some very traumatic situations during his lifetime of ambulance work. 

Thank you to Dr. Thomas Swan of Voyage Health Care for his many years of kind and compassionate, expert medical care, and Dr. Daniel Pease of North Specialty Clinic for guiding us through a difficult time with Stan’s cancer diagnosis. We would like to thank the great people at North Memorial Hospice program, specifically nurse Shelby and social worker Wilder for their expertise and kind hearts. Thank you to Father Nathan LaLiberte for the giving of Last Rites. The peace you gave us is precious. Special Thank You to Patty Bury for being there in the end, and to Kathy Pechacek for helping with arrangements.
