Shirley Hanlon

Shirley A. Hanlon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family May 5, 2019 at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples, MN. Services for Shirley will be 11:00AM, Friday, May 10, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wadena, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Shirley  was born December 23, 1943 in Wadena, MN to William and Evelyn (Johnson) Priebe. She graduated from Sebeka High School and worked as a CNA at Fair Oaks (Shadylane) in Wadena for many years. Shirley was married to James Hanlon November 26, 1966 in Savage, MN. Shirley was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wadena. She enjoyed lawn care, kitties, music, puzzles and she played the piano and accordion. Shirley was very kind, respectful, gracious, selfless and she put everyone ahead of her.

Shirley is survived by her sons, James (Shelly), Kevin, William; daughters, Debbie Pilgrim, Cindy (David) Rogenes, Kathy (Wayne) Larson; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings, Phyllis, Howard, Eileen, David, Keith, Ken, Paula, Jeanette, and Lee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; parents, William and Evelyn; brother, John; infant brothers, Robert and Leslie; sister, Mildred.
