OUTING, MN — Sheri Lynn (Graves) Gore, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was defined by her quiet approach to life, and her giving heart, passed into heaven on Tuesday November 25, 2025, from her home on Smoky Hollow Lake in Outing, MN.
Sheri was born on August 7, 1958, in Fort Dodge, IA, to Daryl and Marlene (Spirek) Graves. She graduated from Kasson-Mantorville High School in 1976. On September 5, 1982, she married Keith Gore, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Kasson, MN.
Sheri was a fantastic wife and a loving mother to her children. She was immensely proud of her grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy. Sheri also enjoyed her work career ranging from the Mayo Clinic in her early years, to book keeping, to office manager, and church board Treasurer. She also enjoyed volunteering, always giving selflessly of her time whenever she could help others. She was known for her humble spirit and her exceptional ability to put her whole heart into everything she did (and yes, she was the Smokey Hollow Lake “Ambassador for the Forest Fairies” who brought gifts to her visiting grandkids). She loved all the times in getting together with her kids, their spouses, her grandkids and friends, watching her grandkids events, the Cabin Olympics and just having fun times together. Sheri will be immensely missed by all who knew and loved her.
Remaining to cherish Sheri’s memory are: Her husband, Keith of Outing, MN. Her daughter, Wendy (J.J.) Cook, and their children, Luke, Noah, and Jude, of Cypress, TX. Her sons, Zachary (Caitlin) Gore, and their children, Adeline and Geoffrey, of Rochester, MN. Alexander (Anni) Gore, and their children, Atlas and Atom, of Firestone, CO. Corey Gore (and late daughter Mattison) of Spring Valley, MN. Her sister, Gail Hrtanek of Kasson, MN, along with a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Daryl and Marlene Graves. Her brother, Brian Graves. Her grandparents, Floyd and Irene Spirek and Gwendolyn Beckfield; aunt and uncle Joyce and Victor Gensmer; and uncle Kenneth Conrad. Her granddaughter, Mattison and her in-laws Ardis Kirkpatrick and Gene Gore.
Sheri's family also extends its deepest gratitude to the staff of St. Croix Hospice for their loving kindness, care, comfort, and unwavering support provided to Sheri.
A celebration of Sheri’s life is being planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Sheri would say,
“Please donate to the cause that stirs your heart.”
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake, MN.
