Sandra Czeck Koecher
1/8/1944 – 1/1/2026
Sandy Koecher of Merrifield, MN, age 81, peacefully went to meet Jesus in heaven, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Sandy was born in St. Paul, MN on January 8, 1944. Sandy is survived by her husband, Richard of 38 years; her children, Tony (Darcie) Koecher, Patti (Chris) Cleveland, Vicki Koecher, Kari (Jim) Joslin, Lisa (Brian) Cable and Mike Czeck; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 3 brothers; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Sandy was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Czeck, parents, Laverne and Elizabeth Jones, and her brother Vern (Butch) Jones.
Sandy’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. During the summer months, she loved being at her home on the lake at Ro-Be-Doe Resort. Having her children and grandchildren visit brought her tremendous happiness. Morning coffee, evenings around the bonfire, shared family meals, relaxing on the log swings, sitting on the decks, watching and feeding the hummingbirds, listening to the loons, playing dominos, and watching others enjoy the beach and everything Ro-Be-Doe Resort offered always brought a smile to her face. In the evenings, a glass of Mogan David – her “church wine” - was a relaxing way to unwind.
As the owner of Ro-Be-Doe Resort, Sandy enjoyed all visitors and her guests became like family. She knew them all by name and looked forward to their return visits each year.
In the winter months, Sandy and Rich traveled to Texas, where they enjoyed warm sunshine, fruit trees, shopping in Mexico, playing Yahoo, and dancing with friends along the Rio Grande.
Sandy loved thrifting at her favorite GW store, always searching for treasures to share with her family. She delighted in watching her kids and grandkids rummage through her finds to discover treasures of their own.
Sandy brought joy and happiness to everyone who knew her. She was a gift to all of us; she will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
