Ruth E. Polly Smith, 80, of Brainerd, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Brainerd after a courageous battle with cancer. Polly was born July 6, 1927 in Brainerd, MN, the daughter of Jefferson and Margaret (Carner) Hines. Services for Polly are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Reverend Mark Whittemore officiating. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services.
