Ruth Anne Smith

Announcing the passing of Ruth “Anne” Smith on April 7, 2026. Anne passed peacefully after a short illness. She was 88. Anne was a long time resident of Laguna Beach, California 1960 - 1995, and Cambria, California 1995 - 2024.. She and her husband, Richard Smith, were involved in many community activities, clubs, social events and organizations over the years.

Anne was born in Wellington, Kansas and moved with her family to California in the 1940s. She married Richard Smith in 1958. They moved to Laguna Beach, California where they raised their children. They retired to Cambria in the late 1990s.

She loved the Pacific Ocean, reading, shopping, traveling and dining out with friends. She was extremely outgoing and gregarious and will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa, son-in-law, Mark, daughter-in-law Margaret, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held May 23 at 11:00am at Christ Community Church in Nisswa, Minnesota. The service will be livestreamed and available to watch on YouTube through the link on the church website www.christcommunitynisswa.com.
