Russell Bacon

Russell “Larry” Bacon, formally of Staples, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls. Services will be held at a later date.

Larry was born on June 26, 1947 in St. Louis County to Neoma (Scully) Bacon and Otto Bacon. He attended school in Staples, MN and after schooling he did various jobs.

Larry is survived by 4 sisters: Marlys Jares of Staples, Geraldine McKinney of Brimson, Lois Kern of Fergus Falls, and Deb Brandt of St. Cloud; and one brother Randy (Connie) Bacon of Albertville.

He was preceded in death by  his parents; 6 brothers: Hubert, Darrell, Clyde, Glen, Earl, and Bernard; two sisters Norma and Carol; 5 brothers-in-law Frank Jares, Roy McKinney, Dick Kern, Mike Elarton, and Mike Brandt; nephew Robert Bruun; and one very special friend, Vicki.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all the staff at the Harding Place and St. Gabriel’s Hospital.
