Rozella Matros

Rozella Jane Matros, 69, of Fifty Lakes, died at her home Saturday, December 16, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM, Friday, December 22 at Immaculate Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Father Michael Patullo officiating. Friends may gather starting at 10 AM Friday at the church. Private Family Interment at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
Rozella was born April 13, 1937 in Emily, MN to the late Harry and Irma (Buchite) Dunbar. She was united in marriage to Norbert Matros February 11, 1956 in Emily. The couple lived in Nisswa, and then moved to Fifty Lakes in 1979 where she was a resident until her death. She was a member of Crosslake American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed walking, bird watching, playing darts, angels, gardening, and traveling.

Rozella is survived by, her husband, Norbert; her children, Ronald (Connie) Matros, of Wyoming, MN, Daniel (Sandy) Matros, of Oregon, and Penny (Steve) Ottmer, of Healdsburg, CA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her brothers, Robert Dunbar, of Merrifield, Samuel Dunbar, of Emily; her sister, Rosemarie Matros, of Emily; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Dunbar; and her great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Matros.
