Roy Rogers

Roy Earl Rogers peacefully passed away at home surrounded by family on July 28,2022.

Roy was born in Motley, Minnesota on July 26,1943 to George and Essie (Moon) Rogers.

Roy grew up in Motley and graduated Motley High School in 1961.  He married Lucille (Ackerson) on April 16,1962. Together they raised 6 children on a farm North of Pillager.

Roy had a strong work ethic and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad in 2003 after 41 dedicated years.

Roy enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and many wonderful grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and traveling to New Mexico with Lucille after they retired. 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Lucille. 

Children; Brad (Liga), CarrieLynn, Keith and Melissa Rogers, Steven (Chris), Michael, and Douglas.

Grandchildren; Samantha, Justin, Krystal (JD), Tanea, Megan, Hannah, Luke, Sofia, Sawyer, Zachary, and Wyatt. 

Great grandchildren: Jayden, Macey, Oakleigh, and Riven and a new granddaughter that Roy was excited to meet coming in September.

His sisters; Elaine (Jack) Cullet & Donna Meacham along with many nieces, nephews, and friends

And his beloved dog, Peppy.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Essie, brother, Leonard; Brothers-in-law, Howard and Gary; Sister in law, Ilene; in-laws Roy and Viola; niece Heather and nephews Mark and Nathan.

We will cherish his memory forever. 

At Roy’s request, no services will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
