Ronald Running

Ronald Paul Running, 83, of Crosslake, passed away on April 27, 2025. A gathering of friends and family will be held 1pm – 3pm on May 4, 2025, at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Crosslake.

Ron was born on December 7, 1941, to Paul and Dorothy (Fritz) Running in Salem South Dakota. He married Judy Iverson on March 31, 1962. Ron worked as a laborer at John Morrell and Company for 44 years.

Ron enjoyed boating, working in the garden with his flowers, going to classic car shows, jitter bugging with Judy to 50’s rock and roll, and to golf when he was a younger age. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Judy; children, Joel (Lois) Running, Todd (Michele) Running; grandchildren, Lee (Julia) Running, Brodie Running; and great nephew Zachary (Alison) Irvine, great-great nephew Hemi and great-great niece Sparrow. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jackie Huls; and niece Shawn Irvine.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the Crosslake Library.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
