Rolland Eckerson

Rolland "Rollie" Eckerson, age 84, of Pine River, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2008, at his home. He was born November 25, 1923 in Walla Walla, WA to Lloyd and Irene Eckerson. He married Rahma Ahles on June 14, 1946 in Rhode Island. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 613 in Pine River.
He is survived by his daughters: Sandra Zeidler (Dwight) of Pequot Lakes, Karen Rudlang (David) of Pine River, Debra Dalton of Delta Junction, AL, Paula Kelm (Timothy) of Brainerd; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rahma, son, Dennis, and sister, Mickey.
Services will be 11 AM Friday, January 25, 2008 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Pine River. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery, Pine River. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
