Roger J. Spreeman, age 93, of Baxter, MN, passed away on July 20, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, and interment with military honors will follow at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls after a light luncheon.
Roger was born on July 1, 1932, in St. Paul, MN. He proudly served in the United States Army from December 1952 to December 1954. On December 19, 1953, he was united in marriage to Rosemary, and together they raised three children. In 1969, the family moved to the Brainerd Lakes area, which remained home for the rest of Robert’s life.
Following his military service, Roger held a variety of jobs including meatcutter, auto body repair technician, warehouse worker, insurance adjuster, and instructor at the Auto Body Vocational School. His diverse skills and strong work ethic left a lasting impression on many. In retirement, he remained active in his church community, volunteering in the cafeteria at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, where he was a longtime member.
Roger is survived by his son, Trent Spreeman; grandchildren, Trisha and Ben, Tyler, Trey, and Jody; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Isabelle, Mya, Maddy, and Galaxy. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Rosemary, and his children Caryn and Brian.
Roger will be remembered for his humble service, his dedication to family, and his quiet faith. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Baxter.
