Roger Olek

Roger Olek, age 84, of Nisswa, MN, passed away peacefully at his home on December 20, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Gus” and Evelyn “Toots” Olek; brothers, Richard and Ronald; sisters, Roxine and Roberta; wife, Sharen; and son, Donald. He will be greatly missed by his son, Jim Olek; daughter, Laura Olek; grandchildren: Jennifer, Krista, Kalli and Kyle Olek, Nicole Neubert; great grandchildren: Samuel Olek, Timothy Klein, Allison Klein; stepson, Judd Olek; step grandchildren: Aleasha Dullum, Chaise Ellingboe; step great grandchildren: Aubrey, Callahan and Lakelynn Dullum; and many other family and friends.

Roger retired from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railways and proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Army Reserves.

Visitation will be from 12 to 1 PM on Wednesday, January 3, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, MN. A private burial will be held at Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery, Camp Ripley.
