Rodney Fortune

Rodney Fortune, Jr., age 63, of Brainerd, passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was born to Rodney and Dorothy Fortune on March 25, 1953, in Brainerd. He loved his grandchildren, fishing, traveling, visiting his ex-son-in-law at the farm in Wisconsin and was an excellent cook.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Myrna; children: Taena Gibbons, Telena Fortune, Edwin Fortune, Fawn Fortune; stepchildren: Lauera Prestine, William Anderson; brothers: Howard Fortune, Doug Fortune (Sandy), Paul Fortune (Dave), Troy Fortune; sisters: Ginger Taylor, ReNae Bolduc (Bill Walker), Lila Lockwood (Kevin), Deidre Fortune, Tracey Schneider (Jim); 12 grandchildren and 4 stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Doris.

Services will be 4 PM on Wednesday, May 25, at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes. Visitation will begin two hours prior to the service.
