Robert “Bob” Shea passed away peacefully after a short illness on February 14, 2026.
Bob was born in Wadena, Minnesota, to his parents, Beverly and Mathew Shea on May 15, 1961. He graduated from Staples High School with the Class of 1979. Bob was a man with an old soul, known for his artistic nature and his unique ability to turn almost anything into something meaningful. He loved all things music and had a deep appreciation for creativity and self-expression. He also appreciated old-time movies and music, and
Bob also found great peace in tending to his outdoor flowers, which thrived under his care — a reflection of his patience, attentiveness, and gentle spirit. In his working years, Bob found special joy in his time as a home health aide, especially cherishing the visits and conversations with the older individuals he cared for. Above all, Bob loved his family deeply. He had a kind and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived by his siblings: Susan Shea; Tim (Jan) Shea; Karen (Glen) Marr; Ellen (Neil) Kroger; and Kevin (Anita) Shea; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Mathew Shea.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Evergreen Hill Cemetery.
