Richard Knutson

Richard Thomas Knutson, age 59, of Pine River, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017. He was born to Richard and Cloie (Fuhrer) Knutson on February 9, 1958, in Brainerd. Richard lived in the apartments of the former Lutheran church where he was baptized on Palm Sunday 59 years ago and passed away there on Good Friday. Richard loved to fish, hunt, ride his three-wheeler and play video games. He also enjoyed board games and was very good at playing the spoons.

Richard is survived by his mother, Cloie Smith; children: Jessica Sondrol, Richard "J.R." Knutson, Tyler Knutson; 6 grandchildren; brother, Dale "Flash" Knutson (Dee); sisters: Lisa Melby (Keith), Teresa Knutson, Lori Nelson and Shelly Smith. He was preceded in death by his father and son, Thomas.

Gathering of family and friends will be Friday, April 21 from 1 to 3:30 PM at the Backus American Legion. Please come and share memories.
