Staples

Rebecca Lynne Lindgren (née Kaeter), lovingly known as Becky, passed away on May 1, 2026, in Staples, Minnesota, at the age of 63. Born on October 12, 1962, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, she was the cherished daughter of Bob and Bonnie Kaeter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Faith Lutheran Church 430 12th Street Northeast. Visitation is 1 hour before the service.

Becky grew up on her family’s dairy farm near Sauk Rapids, MN, where she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family and community. She graduated from Foley High School in 1981, and earned her Associate of Arts degree in Accounting from St. Cloud Technical College.

Becky and Kerry met in Foley, MN, where he taught agricultural education at the high school. Becky’s younger brother, Brent - then Kerry’s student - arranged a blind date. Becky and Kerry married on July 14th, 1989, and joyfully welcomed Megan on June 21, 1994, and Molly on March 27, 2001.

Faith was an integral part of Becky’s life. A member of Faith Lutheran Church, she found joy in serving as a Sunday school teacher, making mission quilts, serving on the bereavement committee, and helping the Blue Mats group, sewing mats for the unhoused.

Becky belonged to the Piecemakers Quilt group and Barn Quilts of Central MN. She volunteered at the Staples Library, Living Legacy Garden, and as a Sparks Mentor at Staples Elementary. Becky loved being outdoors year-round. Gardening, sewing, quilting, crafting, and reading brought peace, fulfillment, and opportunities to express her endless creativity. Above all else, Becky treasured time spent with family. Her selflessness and thoughtfulness was evident in every aspect of her life, consistently putting others before herself and experiencing joy in doing so.

Becky is survived by her husband Kerry Lindgren; daughters Megan Lindgren and Molly Lindgren; brothers Brad (Cindy) Kaeter and Brent Kaeter; mother-in-law, Liz Lindgren, sisters-in-law Kim (Doyle) Ranstrom and Kelly (Kevin) Coughlin; and, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces. Becky is preceded in death by her brother Brian, parents Bob and Bonnie Kaeter, and father-in-law Del Lindgren.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her for her kindness, creativity, and love.
