Raymond Justison

Raymond Justison, age 81, of Merrifield, Minnesota, passed away on July 19, 2025. Born on June 30, 1944, in Litchfield to Milton and Ruby (Johnson) Justison.

After graduating high school, Ray proudly served in the United States Army. He later spent the majority of his working life as a truck driver.

On February 14, 1981, Ray married Rosalie Brunner, and together they shared 44 years of love and companionship. Ray enjoyed gardening, bowling, bird watching, and loved pets and animals of all kinds. He was a loyal fan of all Minnesota sports teams and rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. Ray inherited his father’s good sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie Justison; his children, Dan (Stacy) Justison of Litchfield and stepson Michael Espelund of Willmar; daughter-in-law Mary Gjerdahl; and grandchildren Cassy Justison, Doug, John, and Dan Gjerdahl, Angela and Becca. He is also survived by his siblings Marie McCaskill, Roger (Susan) Justison, Carol (Gordy) Johnson, and Dennis Justison, along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Ruby Justison; his son, James Justison; and stepsons, Tim and Scott Gjerdahl.

Services will be held at 11am on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Crosslake Lutheran Church with a visitation one hour prior. Interment to follow at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
