Ramona Randgaard

Ramona Mae Randgaard, age 90, passed away on May 12, 2023, in Sauk Rapids, MN. A Funeral Service for Ramona will be held on Friday May 19, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Staples, MN at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. A lunch will follow the service. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.

Ramona Mae Randgaard was born on October 11, 1932, in Benson, Minnesota, daughter of William J. and Alice M. Buckner. She attended schools in Benson and graduated from Benson High School in 1950. On July 4, 1954, she married James D. Randgaard at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Benson.

Ramona was employed by Staples ISD #793 for 23 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud, and a past member of Faith Lutheran Church in Staples; the Staples Lioness Club; and Orchid Chapter #94, Order of the Eastern Star, Staples.

Ramona is survived by two sons, David Randgaard of Lake City, MN, and Steve (Wanda) Randgaard of Lake City, MN, one granddaughter Kendra Randgaard of Los Angeles, CA, one brother Robert (Judy) Buckner of Benson, MN, her sister Laurel Johnson of Twin Valley, MN, her brothers in law Rev. Martin Langemo of Princeton, MN, and Roger Randgaard of Staples, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband James D. Randgaard, her parents William and Alice Buckner, her brothers Allen (Glenita) Buckner and Donald Buckner, her sister and brother in-law Beverly and Marshall Skaalrud, her mother and father-in-law Hazel and James G. Randgaard, her sister-in-law Carol Langemo, and brothers in law Richard (Lucy) Randgaard and Daryl Johnson.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
