Pauline Lorraine Gustafson was born on September 22, 1954, in Noonan, North Dakota. She was called from this life on July 10, 2026, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth, MN having attained the age of 71 years, 9 months, and 19 days at the time of her passing.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; Rollyn Gustafson, her parents; Earl and Priscilla Grefsrud, and her brother; Mark Nathaniel and sister; Lorinda Grefsrud.
She is survived in loving memory by her husband, Terry James Frovik of Lake Shore, MN; son, Erik Jakob Gustafson of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Amanda Ann (Rich) Schepler of Minneapolis; step daughter Sara Jean (johann) Massmann of Monticello, MN; three grandchildren, Lydia Hannah of Minneapolis, MN; Anton and Margo Massman of Monticello, MN, one sister in law; Susan Fischer of Minneapolis, MN, and a very special adopted family, Jo and Toby Schifsky and their children, many extended close family and friends, and of course, Tucker, her beloved Bernadoodle.
Pauline grew up in a richly blessed family surrounded by church and music. She lived a beautiful evangelical, non-judgmental, life of faith and love. In the last few years of her life, Pauline was grace under fire. She did not allow obstacles and challenges to keep her from living life fully. After 49 years in technology at Wells Fargo Bank, she retired and became joyfully busy with sewing crafts, family events, amazing meals, supporting justice causes, knitting prayer shawls and serving on the church’s Visioning Committee.
Finally, Pauline gave her time to her husband and friends who simply energized her compassionate spirit. So, dance and sing, dear one, dance and sing and enjoy your promised rest in God’s eternal home. You will be missed.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday July 18, 2026, at 11:00am at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa, MN. There will be a visitation held one hour prior to the start of the service at the church. A private family burial will be held at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.
