Pauline Anderson, a lifelong resident of the Brainerd Lakes Area, passed away on June 11, 2026. Born on November 26, 1955, in Brainerd, MN, to Donald and Mavis (Swanberg) Wiggins, she graduated from Brainerd High School and later made her home in Baxter after a few short years in Arizona.
For over 40 years, she served her community as a dedicated tailor; you walked into her shop as a customer and left as a friend. Some of her most cherished memories were working with local pageant contestants, whom she loved like daughters. She was also incredibly proud to be of service to local and surrounding law enforcement, fire/rescue, EMS, and military personnel.
She took every opportunity to be with family and friends, whether camping, taking road trips, birthday parties, or sharing her love for crafts. She was a world-class cookie and brownie baker, a devoted pet lover, and a proud supporter of local organizations such as The Center. She spent much of her retirement helping to sew quilts.
Known as the ultimate "go-to" person, she was always prepared for anything—and always had a steady supply of purse mints and safety pins ready to share.
She made a huge impact on anyone who knew her and will be greatly missed by many.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 from 5pm-7pm at the Halvorson-Taylor funeral home in Brainerd.
