Paul Anderson

Paul S. Anderson, age 65, of Pine River, MN passed away at home Sunday June 14, 2026. Paul, son of Wilton and Delores Anderson, was born October 3, 1960, and grew up in Dassel, MN.

He graduated from Dassel-Cokato high school and attended Concordia College in Moorhead, MN for three years. Paul switched to and completed the Non-Destructive Testing program at Hutchinson Technical College. He was immediately employed as a contractor in the nuclear industry mainly testing welds for flaws. His work took him to all around the United States, many places in Western and Eastern Europe, Japan, and Taiwan. Although he resided in several places in MN and for a time in Bedford, VA, he most enjoyed his lake cabin near Pine River, MN eventually building a lake home along with his brother on the cabin property. 

When he was not working and in retirement Paul enjoyed fishing with his sons and brother, fixing things, spending time with a series of cherished dogs, playing cribbage and pool, and taking care of his lawn.

Paul is survived by his sons, Nathan (Sarah) Anderson of Backus, MN and Brandon Anderson of Pine River, MN; one brother, Steve Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; one aunt, Arlen Busse of Le Sueur, MN; and six cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
