Patricia Larson

Patricia Ann Larson, age 90, of Nisswa, Minnesota passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026 at Saint Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN surrounded by family.

Pat was born on June 22, 1936 in Davenport, Iowa to Eugene and Frances (Hunter) Schwarz and spent her childhood in Davenport and her teenage years in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Pat met the love of her life, Lou Larson, when both were students at Robbinsdale Senior High. After he graduated from the University of Minnesota, Lou married Pat on August 23,1958. They had two daughters and shared lots of love, laughter, and travels together for 52 years, before Lou's untimely passing in 2010.

Pat was a loving and devoted mother to her two daughters Deb and Lynn, who will miss her sweet smile, steadfast support, and big hugs. Pat loved the many dogs she had in her life and spoiled them rotten. She was a fabulous cook, skilled bowler and card player, and may have had the cleanest house in the neighborhood. In addition, Pat considered George Strait and Merle Haggard to be the finest singers she ever heard, and she rooted hard for the Minnesota Lynx. Pat also enjoyed spending time with a good novel, but loved tuning in to her weekly "stories" on TV—"Bluebloods" anyone?—as well as watching romance movies on the Hallmark Channel or a World War II epic on Turner Classic Movies.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Lou; and her brother, Eugene.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Deb of Plymouth, MN; Lynn of Coon Rapids, MN; her special people Terri Mochinski, DeeAnn Ginkel, and Sharon Keith; and many other wonderful and loyal friends.

In accordance with Pat's wishes, a private cremation has taken place, and no public service will be held.

Pat will be always remembered, forever missed, and deeply loved. Her legacy is how she lived her life—that is, thinking of and caring for others—and her kind, gentle, and generous nature.
