Norma Lapitz

Norma (Boe) LaPitz, age 92, of Minneapolis, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Golden Horizons Assisted Living in Crosslake. She was born to Ole and Alma Boe in Ideal Township, rural Pequot Lakes on May 12, 1919. Norma retired from Red Owl stores in Minneapolis, and was an active member of Prince of Glory Church in Minneapolis for 30 years.

She was a very social person with many friends who will sadly miss her. She was a loving mother and was proud of all her grandchildren and loved each of them equally.

Norma is survived by her children: Beverly Crocker (Gary) of Lake Shore, Larry Flategraff (Janet) of Minneapolis; siblings: Jerry Boe (Grace), Ruhl Boe (Jeanne), Betty Kempenich, all of Crosslake; grandchildren: Bobbie, Mitch, Paula, Kelly, Lezlee; 13 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Donald; sisters: Clara, Gladys and Irene.

Services will be 2 PM on Sunday, March 11, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Pequot Lakes, MN. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 6 PM at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery at 2:15 PM on Monday, March 12.
