Michael Wayne Rolow, 76, of Crosslake, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the St Cloud Hospital with his wife Jean by his side. A Celebration of Michael’s Life will take place on Saturday May 3, 2025, from 1:00 pm- 4:00 pm at the Pequot Lakes American Legion.
Michael was born on February 21, 1949, in St Francis, Kansas. He attended Roosevelt Grade School and was a 1967 graduate of White Bear Lake High School. While working at the Post Office he met a co-worker; Jean Gerten, who soon became his sweetheart and they married on February 22, 1969, in St Paul, MN.
Michael moved on to work as a machinist in Minneapolis and Osseo. He then went on to work for more than 25 years with North Star Towing as a truck driver and auto mechanic in Elk River and Anoka. Michael was a sought after and well-respected mechanic and electrical whiz. He fixed appliances to TV’s and anything in between for next to nothing, he just truly enjoyed helping people. In his spare time, he loved pan fishing on local lakes, enjoyed listening to music and discussing anything to do with cars. But, anyone who knew Mike, loved and enjoyed his quick wit and quirky sense of humor. Most importantly, Michael was a dedicated and loyal husband to Jean for 56 years as they raised their three sons together in a loving home in Elk River for 38 years. They then decided to relocate to Crosslake for the past 9 years to be closer to their boys.
Michael will be missed by his wife Jean; children, Wayne Rolow of Jenkins, Bill Rolow of Pequot Lakes, Benjamin Rolow of Foley; grandchildren; Nick, Samantha, Shelbi, Ruby and anticipated granddaughter in July; great-grandchildren; Jameson and Cece.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Crosslake.
