Michael Faas

Michael S. Faas, age 46, of Brainerd and formerly Minneapolis, was born July 7, 1970, and passed away at his home surrounded by his family on November 29, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Abigail; his adoring children: Isabella, age 14, Elizabeth, age 6, Malachi, age 3; parents, Janice and Gerald Faas; sister, sister, Lisa Rosenthal; brother, David Wayne Faas; mother-in-law, Patty Warner; father-in-law, Raymond Lindberg; many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and countless amazing friends.

Michael's family wishes to thank Patty Warner, Tom Bergin, Stacie Borgheiinck, Jodi Adkisson and Erin Patrick for helping to make possible his wish to be at home for his final days. They would also like to thank the Essentia Oncology team who invested much time and brought joy to Mike's life during medical encounters.

Michael will be remembered for his strength in his determination to beat cancer; his love of learning and teaching which opened many conversations with anyone who crossed his path; his outgoing personality and sense of humor that created many strong and everlasting friendships; his zest for life and his endeavors to make
life an adventure for his wife and family. He will leave us with a legacy of his love.

Services will be 11am on Saturday, December 3, at Heritage Assembly of God Church, Baxter. Visitation will follow with a lunch reception and time of sharing. With gratitude, memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
